Recipe Ingredients

½ cup heavy whipping cream
1 ½ tsp. finely grated lemon peel
½ cup grated Gouda cheese
8 eggs
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
salt & pepper to taste


Liberally butter 4 small (12-14 ounce) baking dishes or ramekins. Pour 1 tablespoon cream into each baking dish. Sprinkle lemon zest equally into each dish. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons grated cheese over lemon & cream. Gently break 2 eggs into each dish. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour 1 tablespoon cream over each dish. Scatter parsley garnish on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until eggs are just set.
